Join the Out-of-School Time Resource Center (OSTRC) and the Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable (PCPR) in collaboration with the School District of Philadelphia’s Office of Strategic Partnerships (OSP) as we discuss, support, and promote “college access and success” through cross-sector collaboration. This will be an exciting and enriching two-day professional event series for stakeholders who are committed to helping young people succeed!
The PCPR meeting will focus on the high school to college transition with a panelist of academic success support and retention specialist from public and private colleges and universities. Panelist will discuss what colleges and universities are looking for in student success; what students from urban centers are coming to campus equipped with to succeed; and what can/should could be done for better college, school and community relationships to support students academic and social success.
Panelist will include: Angela McIver (Director, Gateway Program, Arcadia University), Cherylyn Rush (Multicultural Education Coordinator, La Salle University), Dr. John Craig (Director, Academic Discovery Program, West Chester University), Dr. Craig Smith (Director of Student Retention and Success and the ACT 101 Program, Montgomery County Community College and Jennifer Carroll, Moderator (Ph.D. Candidate, Temple Univ)
