7th Annual Conference Highlights

The 7th Annual Philadelphia College Prep Roundtable Conference was convened on August 2nd and 3rd, 2015 at St. Joseph’s University for well over 150 people of various walks of college access and success interests including College Access and Success Programs, Institutions of Higher Education, K-12, Parent Advocates, Community- and Faith-Based Organizations, Civic and Government Agencies, Out of School Time Programs, Mentoring Programs, the Business Community, Foundations and Research Organizations, and Policy Makers. The content of the conference covered a variety of areas not to mention “Effective college access and success practices in middle grades”, “Advanced college advisement for the professional and advocate”, Effective college retention preparation practice from the lens of college prep” and a college fair and networking for high school counselors/pre-college program advisers and high education admission representatives. primary speakers Dr. Gregory Anderson (Dean of Temple University’ College of Education), Michele Lawrence (Area President of Wells Fargo Bank N.A.) and Antoinette Torres (College Completion Expert) paved a solid foundation giving context to “college access, retention and completion”.
